Californians will choose a new governor in 2026 and there is a competitive field of candidates vying to lead the Golden State. What should be the next governor’s vision for enriching the nonprofit landscape and advancing its impactful work? California communities thrive when nonprofits succeed, so the next governor must possess a strong understanding of and promote solutions for the challenges faced by the nonprofit sector. 

We'll delve into the challenges facing the sector and the solutions a new administration can champion. Discussions will include: 

-Political Engagement: Strategies for empowering nonprofits to become a more politically engaged network in the lead-up to the 2026 election. 

-Voter Trends: An analysis of voter behavior and how it might impact the gubernatorial race. 

-Government Partnership: Insights on how to ensure the next governor recognizes nonprofits as an indispensable partner in addressing the state's most pressing issues.
