The political landscape is shifting, and California's nonprofits are on the front lines. With growing uncertainty at the federal level, nonprofits are more crucial than ever to keep our communities safe, healthy, and vibrant. Yet, we face a perfect storm of rising costs, federal threats, increasing demands, and shrinking funding streams. 

Join us for a critical discussion on these challenges with California’s U.S. Senator Adam Schiff. As recent federal actions cast a pall of uncertainty over the nonprofit sector, Senator Schiff will provide a review of key legislative and policy updates in conversation with CalNonprofits CEO Geoff Green and nonprofit leaders. In this forum, we’ll discuss: 

-The impact of federal funding freezes and cuts from the Trump Administration on the nonprofit sector. 

-H.R. 1’s decimation of the social safety net and what it may mean for future demand on nonprofit services. 

-How we navigate the current chaotic environment in the face of federal assaults, including a barrage of executive orders, pending litigation, and threats to tax-exempt status
